June was a busy month for all of us here at the MRF.
On Wednesday 27th June we held ‘The Five Step Approach to Improved Recycling Performance’ Conference which was attended by those responsible for recycling initiatives and performance.
We were very lucky to have the support of Ray Georgeson from the Resource Association, Steve Waite from WRAP and Kevin Pegg from Blaby District Council.
Each shared with delegates their operational experiences and offered advice on how to get the best from recycling performance to deliver a closed loop approach.
We had a good number of delegates from local authorities (including ones we currently work with), prospective customers and existing customers and suppliers.
Encouraging delegates to share best practice experiences was one of our main aims for the conference, and lively debate followed each presentation which was exactly what we wanted to get out of the day. We had great, positive feedback and will certainly look into running a similar event in the future . . . in fact, watch this space for news about our plans for October.
