Casepak has published a handy Recycling Guide which provides a definitive list of what the MRF can and cannot process. The guide gives tips on how to get the best out of recycling – i.e. by making sure material is clean and dry and no rogue items enter the recycling stream.
With the issue of contamination and its impact on end quality material high on the agenda, this guide aims to give clarity and guidance for householders.
Lee Bradbury, the MRF’s Operations Manager, said: “We hope this guide will help local authorities communicate with householders about what they can and cannot place in their recycling bins. We all want to get the very best out of our recycling , so it’s important that the right material comes into the MRF so we can then process it for the next stage of the recovery process.”
