Last Thursday the Casepak MRF played proud host to Envirolink’s conference which explored the role and future of UK MRFs.
The event was a great success which saw more than 35 delegates from the recycling industry attend to show their support.
Topics covered included updating an existing MRF; an update on the MRF Code of Practice; State of the art technology; computational process modelling within the waste processing industry; the plastics and packaging recycling journey and do you know how well your MRF is working?
Delegates and presenters engaged in interesting discussions, most of which centered around the MRF Code of Practice and what this means for the future of the MRF industry. Indeed, one of the notable arguments was how people would still pay for lower grade material so perhaps working towards a specification would be a better option.
All delegates opted to take a tour of the Casepak facility and it was my pleasure to conduct the tours to show them a state of the art MRF in full operation.
I would like to thank Envirolink for choosing the Casepak MRF to host its conference. The event proved to be a great achievement. Here’s to the next conference at the MRF!
