We are delighted to be celebrating Casepak’s 50th anniversary! 50 years at the forefront of the recycling sector.
Leicestershire is where my father, George Smith, established the business and we are now proud to have two state of the art facilities located here. Our collections and processing facility in Enderby serves private and commercial sector clients, and our technologically-advanced MRF (launched in 2012) is the base for our local authority operations.
Recycling habits and practices have changed dramatically over the last few years, with more people strive to be environmentally responsible and conscious about their recycling choices. Our partnerships with local authorities have allowed us to spread the message of recycling best practice and introduce campaigns on how to recycle responsibly to avoid contamination in the recycling stream.
The events of 2020 have been unprecedented. As a result of the lockdown, we’ve seen an increase in material entering our MRF as the population was confined to their homes. We’ve had to react quickly to ensure that our MRF was able to accommodate the additional material, as well as ensure that all correct health, safety and social distancing measures. I am pleased to say we rose to the challenge and are continuing to cope well with the situation.
Although our celebrations are going to be put on hold for the time being because of the current events, I want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all hard-working staff members who’ve helped make Casepak what it is today, along with our clients and associates.
To mark the occasion, we have recently bought a new Casepak truck and branded it with our 50th anniversary logo, so look out for it on the roads around Leicestershire!
It really has been a memorable 50 years and we are very much looking forward to the future.
