Casepak, one of the UK’s leading recycling and waste management firms based in Leicester, has expanded its transport team with two new hires.
Glenn Blackstock joins the team as Transport Manager. With 11 years worth of transport management experience at the Cooperative Food Group, Glenn has a Transport Manager’s Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage and has received leadership training. Prior to joining Casepak, Glenn also passed the Health and Safety I.O.S.H. and has managed Tachographs to a nil infringement level.
His role at Casepak will see him managing a team of 17 drivers as well as the three staff who control the weighing in and out of vehicles and containers. Glenn will be based at Casepak’s Re-processing Facility site in Enderby.
Commenting on his new position at Casepak, Glenn said: “I am delighted to be a part of the Casepak team because of the professional and innovative ethic that the company achieves through its commitment to high service levels. I want to ensure 100 per cent legal compliance on all Driving and Working Time Directive regulations and hope to help the company achieve the best transport solutions and standards of service from my team, giving our clients the optimum level of service possible.”
Outside of work, Glenn is a real fitness fanatic, attending the gym and training for half marathons which he regularly participates in.
Casepak also welcomes a new Weighbridge Administrator, Stephen Clarke, who will also be working from the Enderby site. Stephen’s role involves the weighing in and out of both Casepak vehicles and international containers; ensuring loads are going out at the correct weight and scanning in any relevant paperwork. He is also responsible for planning daily work for Casepak drivers and resolving any issues that they may have, and liaises with customers about new jobs.
Stephen, who previously worked for the Inland Revenue where he attained a Certificate of Competency recognised by Investors in People, commented: “I am looking forward to learning new skills and gaining experience in a new industry.”
In his spare time, Stephen is a keen musician and plays in various bands and orchestras for a variety of genres of music. He also enjoys watching rugby and cricket.
Georgina Cullen, Casepak’s Business Development Director, said: “We are delighted to welcome both Glenn and Stephen to the Casepak team, who are already making valuable contributions to the day-to-day running of Casepak’s operations.”
